About

I'm Megan Farrer, the person behind MegaCaptures: a freelance photographer, videographer and content creator specialising in sport, events and documentary storytelling.

I graduated from Bournemouth University with First Class Honours in Media Production. Before that, and alongside it, I was a competitive sailor campaigning towards the Olympic Games. I know the pressure, the setbacks and the small wins, and I know the stories that never make the highlight reel. Those are the ones I go after.

Since graduating I've shot hockey, football, sailing and the Isle of Wight Ultra Marathon, run social media for BU Women's Hockey and ILCA UK, and worked freelance camera and production jobs, including with Sky and on independent film sets.

"Mega" is short for Megan. It also fits: I go all in on everything I shoot. "Captures" is what I've done since I was a kid with a camera in hand, turning a moment into something that lasts.
